asm_iconCheck out these excellent tutorials

Learning Spin for the Propeller is straightforward and the Propeller Manual (pdf)  has a great tutorial on it.  If you've programmed before, Spin an easy extension to your skills.  If you're just beginning, there's plenty of information, support, and resources to help you out.

Propeller Assembly... not so much.  There's less documentation available and it takes a bit more time to adjust to.  The Propeller Manual has a good reference on each assembly directive, but no tutorial. Well, here are a few Assembly Tutorials I've found in the Parallax forums that you might find useful;

1. Assembly Language for the Absolute Beginner, By Potatohead

(download pdf)

Although I suggest you learn a bit of Spin first, this is a great introduction to Assembly Language programming

2. Programming the Parallax Propeller using Machine Language, By desilva

(download pdf)

If you've already done assembly on another microcontroller, you can start here.

Assembly mixes well with Spin - do the complex logic in Spin, and break out the assembly for time critical stuff.  These tutorials are a great start!
